When you visit Plainsong Farm during growing season, the first things you notice are a farmhouse, lush fields and an historic red barn. These are the heart is of the Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm, where members can purchase (or donate) weekly shares of the sustainably grown harvest. Plainsong also improves the health of its neighbors by distributing donated CSA shares to local poverty relief agencies. Learn more about the food ministry here.
The farm itself is a living laboratory for the Plainsong Farm Ministry, where it forms the backdrop for monthly worship events, hands-on environmental education for local school children, and soon, a Young Adult Fellowship to prepare the next generation of church leadership. It also provides hand-sewn and hand-harvested heirloom wheat for local churches to bake their own communion bread.
