Jubilee Ministries are part of a network of parish and diocesan social justice-focused ministries across the Episcopal Church.
About Jubilee Ministries
Jubilee celebrates and recognizes parish ministries that
RESPOND directly to alleviate human need ADVOCATE with and for those whom parishioners have met SHARE ideas and best practices with other congregations.
Jubilee Ministry parish designations began in 1982 at the 67thGeneral Convention of the Episcopal Church and were reaffirmed at the 79thGeneral Convention in 2018. Designation as a Jubilee Center recognizes the ministries of parishes who offer a direct service to people in need, who advocate for these persons and about the circumstances which define injustice and who willingly share ideas and programs with other interested parishes.
Suffering and injustice are still rife in our common life. The Church has, can and will respond. Consider what your parish identifies as community needs; consider how you have, are and will respond; consider how you can learn from and share with others what you are doing to bring God’s love to a hurting world.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor. Luke 4:18-19
