Mission Trips Sponsored by Parishes MISSION TRIP TO CAMEROON - February, 2010Trinity Episcopal Church in Marshall, MI will be returning to Sr. Jane Mankaa and The Good Shepherd.Sister Jane Mankaa is an Episcopal Nun, confirmed by Bishop Croneberger of the Newark , NJ Diocese. In 1997 Sr Jane founded an orphanage for street children. The Good Shepherd Home is her response to God's calling on her life to care for children orphaned by the AIDS EpidemicCameroon is located in West Central Africa where Sr. Jane's orphanage is nestled in the mountains near Bamenda. Our small mission team will return to Cameroon in February, 2010. We will spend time at the orphanage, working with the staff to provide the children with physical and emotional nourishment. We will see first-hand both the challenges and the successes of this important ministry. We will have opportunities to visit local churches, meet families, and continue the process of building relationships. We also hope to participate in a local prison ministry. In addition to the financial support we give to the orphanage, we will purchase items such as food and bedding for the children. These purchases will be made in Cameroon and helps support the local economy. We invited you to join us! Join us with your prayers, your donations, and even your presence. If you have a heart for children, especially orphans, or feel a leading from Spirit to explore mission work, please consider joining us. This once in a life-time experience may change your life! There is much work to be done, and we welcome your support Both here in Michigan and in Africa , your God given talents can be used to help these children, and many more like them.
